This year, Sears invites customers to make The Big Switch to Energy Star qualified appliances and enjoy incredible savings during its storewide Big Switch Labor Day Sale. The Sears Big Switch initiative can help families recycle their old inefficient appliances to help save a substantial amount of money on their utility bills.
The "Big Switch" Labor Day Sale features:
-- 30% off ALL Energy Star qualified appliances from Whirlpool, Maytag and Samsung
-- 20 percent off all other Energy Star appliances
-- Extra 5% off all appliances with a Sears card
-- Save over $700 on LG washer/dryer
My mother in law has an energy efficient washer/dryer model and believe it or not, there is literally not that much difference on her energy or water bill since we've been using hers. I am very impressed! We've had non energy efficient models in the past years that alone would jack up our bill like you wouldn't believe. I will definitely be letting my husband know about this event!
The Sears Labor Day Sale is going on through Sept 7, 2010. For more information on the Sears Big Switch event you can visit the website directly at SearsBigSwitch.com . Customers are also encouraged to take the ENERGY STAR Pledge where you can learn more about how you can help reduce your energy and water consumption and reduce your impact on the environment. Keep in mind that this sale is for Energy Star appliances, not just washer and dryers!
