I recently received the Can Consolidator Pantry from Shelf Reliance to try and I must say that it has been working great.  These come in cabinet size or pantry size and rotates the cans for you thus extending the shelf life of your stockpiles. I was able to fit mine in one of my bigger cabinets.  The main items we try to have and stock up on are soups, chef boyardee (not my choice), tuna, and tomato sauces.  These are what we use most often so it's essential for us to stock up when there is a sale.  Also, keep in mind even if you don't have a big family but have pets, this is awesome for can pet foods as well!
